ADSC Organizes Highly Successful Time Trial Community Cycling Race

Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) organized on Saturday, 6 January 2018, at Al Wathba Cycle Track a highly successful time trial-cycling race.

 Jasper Carpaij- from CBI Team won the title for the men’s category covering the 46km distance clocking one hour, one minute and 13 seconds, with Rayan Christian from Frontier Sports Team coming second in one hour, 2 minutes and 45 seconds, and Johan Hesselsoe from Cycle Hub Arla Proten in third position.

 For the women’s 30km race, Cat Terleski   scored 48 minutes and 29 seconds to win the title, with Hellee Bachofen Von Echt in second place with 49 minutes and 49 seconds, and Annemie Du Plessis in third place in 51 minutes and 54 seconds.

In the juniors’ race for the distance of 16km, Yousef Al Hamadi from UAE came first clocking 31 minutes and 14 seconds, and Finlay Mackenzie in second place in 34 minutes and 20 seconds.

The race came within ADSC’s 2017/18 calendar for community sport events.

ADSC’s community sport events are to encourage all segments of the community to engage in practicing different and suitable sport exercises in order to live healthily and to enhance their physical fitness.
