The path to winning the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018 has been set following the Official Draw, which took place at the Home of FIFA in Zurich, Switzerland, today.
Taking place this year from 12 to 22 December, the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2018 will bring together the six continental club champions and UAE Pro-League winners Al Ain FC to compete for one of club football’s top international prizes.
Following today’s Official Draw – which was overseen by Jaime Yarza (Head of FIFA Tournaments) with the assistance of FIFA Legend Esteban Cambiasso – the route to becoming this year’s FIFA Club World Cup champions has now been confirmed for the seven teams taking part in this year’s tournament.

- CAF Winner v. Al Ain FC / Team Wellington FC
- AFC Winner v. CD Guadalajara
- CONMEBOL Winner v. CAF Winner / Al Ain FC / Team Wellington FC
- AFC Winner / CD Guadalajara v. Real Madrid CF
Al Ain FC from UAE and Team Wellington FC from New Zealand will make their FIFA Club World Cup debuts in the opening match at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium on 12 December, with the second-round matches taking place on 15 December.
Real Madrid CF will enter the competition at the semi-final stage and play the winners of the match between the club champions of Asia and CD Guadalajara at Zayed Sports City Stadium on 19 December.
The CONMEBOL representatives (the winners of the 2018 Copa Libertadores in November) will play the winners of match between African club champions and the winner match one between Al Ain FC and Team Wellington FC. The FIFA Club World Cup final will take place at Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi on 22 December.
The full match schedule will be completed in November after the final three continental champions from the AFC, CAF and CONMEBOL have been confirmed.
