ADSC Marks the Flag Day

Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) marked on Thursday, 2 November 2017 the Flag Day. The UAE Flag Day celebrations come as per the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, in order to mark and to commemorate the anniversary of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan ascendance to presidency.

This dear occasion is also to express our loyalty and faithfulness to our dear and beloved country.

ADSC’s Flag Day celebrations have been attended by the General Secretary, H.E. Aref Hamad Al Awani, directors of divisions, sections heads, Mascot of the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017, and all employees of the General Secretariat of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.

ADSC General Secretary, HE Aref Hamad Al Awani,  extended congratulations on this occasion to The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minster and Ruler of Dubai, and to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Rulers of the emirates,  and all the people of the United Arab Emirates on this dear occasion.

Al Awani lauded the unwavering support of The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to all sport sectors in our country.

The Flag Day is a national occasion to commemorate the efforts of UAE founders Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Sheikh Rashid Bin Maktoum and their brothers who sacrificed everything for the sake of having a united nation.

It is also an occasion to enhance national cohesion, social interaction, to assure loyalty and the national spirit, and to represent the values of justice, peace, power and tolerance, security and stability.
