330 Cyclists in ADSC Community Race at Yas Island

Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) organized on Friday, 29 September 2017, a community cycling racing at Yas Island, as 330 cyclists from different categories took part.  The start and finish lines was at Yas Island.

The 52 km race is one of ADSC’s community cycling races for the 2017/18 season, and comes within ADSC’s vision to increase the awareness of all community segments on the importance of cycling in leading healthy lifestyle.

 The  330 cyclists competed  in 12 different categories, including  kids aged (8-12) year-who raced for 4km, 15 km for 12-14 year-old ones, 26km for women’s open category, and 31 km for the men’s open category, 41km for  the elite women category, and 52 km for elite men’s category.

Another 11 ADSC’s community cycling races will follow this season, and take place at different parts of Abu Dhabi emirate.

Winners of Yas Island Cycling Race for Friday, 29 September 2017, received their trophies from ADSC’s Representative, Khalid Saeed Al Qubaisi.
