ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon

The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon even with the elite field competing for the top prize has turned into the capital city’s biggest community sporting event. Last year, the event had 16,797 registered runners in the elite, age group, amateur and people of determination from 141 nationalities across the main marathon and races over the 10km, 5km and 2.5km distances. The Kenyan pair Reuben Kipyego and Vivian Kiplagat emerged winners of the men and women’s races and both of them achieved it with personal best timings of 2:04:40 and 2:21:11 respectively. The ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon is a fun-filled day for those who want to be a part of it and comes at a time when the whole country is celebrating the festivities of the UAE celebrating the 49th National Day. In the last two years, every runner who completed the races in any category received a participation medal.
