The second Yas Marina and Ferrari World Community Run on Friday is set for another big turnout over the events run across three different distances – 2.5km, 5km and 10km.
The popular run organised by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) is part of an ongoing effort of the sports council to promote and support community sports under the “healthy lifestyle” theme.
Saeed Al Muhairi, Director of ADSC’s Department of Technical Affairs, emphasised on the success of the opening race of the 2018-2019 season that drew 725 participants.
“We expect the entries to cross 1,000 for the second race with the people back in the country after the summer vacation,” he said.
“We appreciate the contributions of both Yas Mall and Ferrari World in making this event a great success. And of course all those participants without whom this community race wouldn’t have become so popular.”
