The Al Ain-Jebel Hafeet cycling challenge- on Friday, October 19, and the Al Ain Zoo run on Saturday, 20 October, by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) will take as two important community sport events within the new season’s calendar .
The cycling over distances of 67km and 47km will be flagged off at 6.30am while the adventure run over the three distances - 1.5km, 5km and 10km - will take place around the Al Ain Zoo starting from 7am.
They are also the first ADSC community events in Al Ain for the new season.
Khalid Al Qubaisi, Section Head of Community Sports at ADSC, said the Al Ain-Jebel Hafeet cycling event and the adventure race around the Al Ain Zoo was the continuation of the sports council’s bid to encourage the community to participate in fun-filled sporting activities.
“The sports council is committed to promote healthy lifestyle among the community by organising sporting events for both men and women of all ages and levels to participate,” he said.
