Former Westlife singer Brian McFadden, rock band The International Playboys, and The Trick Shot Boys are confirmed to perform at the prestigious Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship next week, Abu Dhabi Sports Council and DP World Tour have announced.
Coinciding with the Championship’s move to the world-leading entertainment and leisure destination Yas Island, the Championship Village will host exclusive music acts, golf trick shot and football freestyle acts, and much more daily of the opening Rolex Series event taking place from January 20-23.
The International Playboys will perform on Friday, while McFadden will headline Ladies’ Day on Saturday. Greg Pearson, who supported two-time Brit Award winner Lewis Capaldi at the F1 concert in Abu Dhabi will see out the final Sunday of the tournament while British singer and songwriter Daniel Stuart Batchelor plays on Thursday.
Alongside the music acts, sports broadcaster Tom Bushell will host exclusive interviews and fans can witness falcon displays, illusionist shows, living statue performances, football freestylers and The Trick Shot Boys, all for free across all four tournament days.
In December, the Abu Dhabi Sports Council announced general admission tickets are to be free for the public for the first time in the 17 year history of the Championship.
Daily initiatives will be championed during tournament week including ‘Red Friday’ which will give spectators turning up to the tournament in red clothes will receive a free ice cream and coffee.
Along with the headline act from Brian McFadden on Saturday, Ladies’ Day will also offer the chance to win two business class flights to any DP World Tour destination in the world plus drinks vouchers, competitions for local attractions, and a professional golf coaching clinic available to budding golfers.
On Sunday, Family Day will provide activities for children, including mascot parades, magician performances and an illusionist act to keep the kids entertained throughout the day. Between 9-11am the tournament will launch the HSBC Future Falcons programme, with kids able to compete around the par three course and take part in fitting sessions.

Ticket holders to any day for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship will also receive up to 25% off Yas Island attractions, including to the Ferrari World and Yas Waterworld parks, while they will also be eligible to up to 20% off at some of Abu Dhabi’s top restaurants, bars and hotels, including international Italian restaurant chain Cipriani.
