Sheikh Nahyan calls sports clubs to rally under the ‘Together We Are Good’ programme to combat the Covid-19

His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), has called sports club in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to support the “Together We Are Good” programme by Authority of Social Contribution.
The programme stimulates social responsibility through opening the door for financial and in-kind contributions from individuals and companies to join in the Abu Dhabi Government’s efforts to combat the health and economic challenges created by the Coronavirus pandemic.
“This programme is an initiative from our leadership for individuals and civic societies to join to eradicate the global health crisis on the spread of the Covid-19,” HH Sheikh Nahyan said.
“This is a time for our community to show our solidarity and unity to step forward our support to humanity.”
HH Sheikh Nahyan appealed to individuals, private sector and civil societies to contribute generously to the programme founded under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander the UAE Armed Forces.
“We have urged sports clubs in Abu Dhabi to join us in support and contribute to this campaign,” he said.
“They can setup their own initiatives and also use their premises and their management acumen to provide support, solidarity and combat this global challenge.”
HH Sheikh Nahyan paid tribute to the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the general health sector in the country, for their indefatigable efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.
