Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and the President’s Sports Club of Belarus signed a Memorandum of Understanding highlighting the key areas of bilateral cooperation in sports.
The President’s Sport Club has already established a tie-up with the UAE Ice Sports Federation and Abu Dhabi Ice Sports Club, and the MOU with ADSC will be a starting point for expanding their collaboration into other areas in sports.
The MOU was signed earlier in the week by HE Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of ADSC and Dmitry Lukashenko, Chairman of the Central Council of the President’s Sports Club.
The objectives are to promote, coordinate and develop sports through community activities as well as promote a healthy lifestyle.
The areas of cooperation include reciprocal visits between the two countries involving various sports.
The usage, construction and maintenance of sports facilities, including ice rinks and cycling tracks, as well as organising camps in the two countries for various sports.
It also includes exchange programs in sports management, training, medical care, arbitration and sports equipment, and organising visits to develop cooperation.
“The objective of the partnership is to support each other on various fields in sports,” said HE Al Awani.
“We already have several MOU agreements with various associations, clubs and academies from which we aim to establish strong partnerships where we can share the infrastructures and expertise in every field.”
