The Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council to enhance joint co-operation between the two institutions.
HE Aref Al Awani, General Secretary of ADSC, and HE Abdullah Abdul Ali Al Humaidan, General Secretary General of Zayed Higher Foundation on behalf of the Zayed Higher Oragnisation for People of Determination, signed the MOU at the sports council headquarters on Tuesday.
Al Humaidan said it game them great pleasure to sign the MOU with ADSC, as it contributed to strengthening of the cooperation and coordination that already exists between the two institutions.
“We know for sure the ADSC’s deep commitment to serve and care for athletes from the Zayed Higher Organisation to raise their levels to local, regional and then international levels,” he said.
Al Humaidan emphasised on the pathway established under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
He stressed Zayed Foundation appreciated the unstinted support of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of both the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Foundation for Charitable and Humanitarian Works and ADSC.
“His Highnesses care and generosity for the people of determination is well documented and that only warrants success in every field of development and competitions.
He stated the Foundation’s Board of Directors headed by His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nahyan provided the best care and facilities in terms of both expertise and equipment provided for the athletes to achieve high levels of performances.
HE Al Awani hailed the partnership as unique and comes on the directives of His Highness Sheikh Nahyan to provide the Organisation with all-round support from logistics to the event management in conducting sporting events both locally and internationally.
He expressed his appreciation for the country's leaders for their continuous support the people of determination.
“We are delighted to be associated with this exciting new partnership considering it represents an important social segment through which we will work to provide the care, compassion and development programs in sports for the people of determination,” he said.
