HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, congratulated the leaders and people of the UAE on the achievement of UAE judo by winning a bronze medal in the Olympic Games of Rio 2016.
Congratulation of Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed came upon the winning of UAE’s Judoka “Sergiu Toma” a bronze medal at Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games 2016.
Toma put the flag of UAE high in Rio sky by winning a bronze medal in the men's under 81 kg category, on August 9, 2016.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said this new achievement for UAE sports reflects the ongoing care and support offered by our wise leaders to all sport sectors in our country.
He praised the UAE Wrestling, Judo & Kickboxing federation and its president Mohammed bin Thaloube Al Darrie for the hard efforts they are exerting to develop judo sports in our country.
Concluding his statement, Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan assured Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) will always be very keen to support UAE sportspersons who partake at different international sporting championships and events.
