Grand finale of the President of the UAE Cup in Riyadh

The final leg of the President of the UAE Cup for Purebred Arabians has drawn a maximum field of 16 at the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud racetrack in Riyadh on Thursday.

All in all the meeting has attracted 79 horses across the six races with the highlight being the 12th and final round of the President of the UAE Cup for Saudi Riyals 300,000 and run over the 1,600-metre distance.

The President of the UAE Cup race series are organised directly under the supervision of the Organizing Committee headed by HE Mattar Suhail Al Yabhouni, Chairman, and Faisal Al Rahmani, Racing Advisor to the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and General Supervisor of the races.

HE Al Yabhouni said the Kingdom’s support has been invaluable to promote the President of the UAE Cup series and for the Arabian horses in general.

“The prestigious cup is a true expression of the visions shared by both the UAE and Saudi Arabia,” he said,

“We are really excited and privileged to reach the 12th and final round of the race series in Saudi Arabia. It’s the second successive season we conclude the race series in the Kingdom.

“The two countries share historical relationship and the race meeting also marks the UAE’s 48th National Day celebrations.”
