The Executive Office of the Asian Cup was updated by the Sharjah Local Organising Committee (LOC) on the latest updates on their preparation to host matches of the Continental Cup.

The meeting was attended by HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Thani, Chairman of Sharjah Group, HE Aref Hamad Al Awani, Director of the Executive Office and HE Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Director of Sharjah Group.

“It is the responsibility of each host stadium to have the facilities ready on or before the set dates by the AAFC and LOC,” said Sheikh Ahmed after welcoming the members of the Executive Office.

“On our part, we can ensure the work will be completed on or before the schedule, and provide our guests, the players and everyone the best memories of visiting the Sharjah stadium.”

HE Al Awani reiterated they were confident the UAE will put up a show that the participating nations as well as the visitors will remember for a long time.

“To host the Asian Cup with 24 participating teams is a great opportunity for the UAE to showcase what we are as a country,” he said.

HE Al Awani discussed the registration process of the volunteers through the designated channels.

“There will be training courses for volunteers before the start of the tournament, providing all services and facilities for the employees of the group and attendance,” he added.
