Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and G42, an Abu Dhabi-based, leading AI and cloud computing company, signed an agreement to become an official partner of the UAE Tour 2021.
The UAE Tour is the only WorldTour race in the Middle East that has drawn 20 WorldTour teams for the season opening race of the Union Cyclist International (UCI) from 21-27 February.
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of ADSC, and Mansoor AlMansoori, Group COO of G42, signed the agreement at the sports council’s headquarters.
HE Al Awani praised G42 for joining the long list of sponsors and support they have extended for the UAE Tour.
“Sponsors are integral part of any international sporting event and we are glad to announce G42 as an official partner and a great supporter of the popular UAE Tour,” he said.
“We extend our sincere thanks to them for joining us to make this event a big success. We want to present an exceptional cycling spectacle to the fans around the world even during challenging times.”
AlMansoori, added: “We are absolutely delighted to be a part of the UAE Tour as the official sponsor. It reaffirms our commitment to support sporting activities and events held in the UAE as, in parallel, we explore opportunities for the application of AI in the sports domain. We look forward to an exciting race and are glad to contribute to its success.”
