Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) and VPS Burjeel Hospital as the official medical services provider for the UAE Tour 2021, the event organisers announced.
The third edition of the UAE Tour is the only WorldTour race in the Middle East and has drawn 20 WorldTour teams for the curtain raiser event of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) from 21-27 February.
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the sports council, and Mr Imran Al Khoori, President - Business Development at VPS Burjeel Hospital, signed the agreement at the ADSC headquarters.
HE Al Awani welcomed VPS Burjeel Hospital on board as the official medical services provider for the UAE Tour.
“We are delighted with the partnership we have signed with VPS Burjeel Hospital,” he said.
“Medical service is an important area for this event that runs over seven days and across five Emirates and we are very glad to have one of the leading medical service providers partnering us.”
Mr Al Khoori said the provision of medical services comes as a commitment to societal contribution as are part of the community that they seek through this participation to be part of the successes achieved.
“When the UAE hosts major international events, they are on foundations and values,” he added.
“We are keen to provide medical services and important partnerships that work to add more support and plans for success for events that enhance the country's prestigious reputation and leadership in global forums.”
