The Abu Dhabi Sports Council and the Emirates Football Association announced the details of the “Sudan Clasico”, which was hosted by the capital, Abu Dhabi, on November 2, 2018, which brought together Al Merreikh and Al Hilal at the Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium in Al-Jazira Club in conjunction with the “Year of Zayed” 2018.

Bakri Al Madina was announced as the best player in Al-Merreikh, while Hussein Ibrahim from Al Hilal received the same honour.

The match was managed by the World Cup crew, which consisted of Mohamed Abdullah Hassan, Mohamed Ahmed Youssef, Hassan Al Mahri, and Ahmed Issa.

The fans painted a wonderful picture in blue and red in the stands, with the slogan “Year of Zayed” in the middle.

The Al Ayyala band presented an artistic performance that showcased the heritage of the Emirates.

The Sudanese folkloric troupe, Balimbo, presented performances of diverse arts from various regions of Sudan, including the north, south, east, and west, combining the enthusiasm and chivalry for which Sudanese society is known.

The Abu Dhabi Police Music Band presented a wonderful musical performance of the most famous Sudanese song in the Arab world, “How Are You?”

100 journalists were present to cover the event

El Clasio fans also put on an outstanding performace as they cleaned the stands before leaving the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium, the most prominent architectural masterpiece in the region.

Al Hilal were crowned by His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, His Excellency Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, and His Excellency Major General Mohammed Khalfan Al Rumaithi, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Chairman of the General Sports Authority at the time.
