Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC) has announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Nirvana Travel & Tourism to provide sponsorship and support for sporting activities and events hosted in Abu Dhabi. The agreement fits within the framework of ambitious plans and continuous endeavours of the council to strengthen important partnerships that support sporting successes as well as tourism, travel, logistics services and transportation of goods.
The three-year agreement was signed by H.E. Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and Alaa Al Ali, Group CEO of Nirvana Holding, at the company’s HQ, in the presence of H.E. Talal Mustafa Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector, Abu Dhabi Sports Council, and His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Al Qubaisi, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
Al Awani praised the partnership with Nirvana and its role in providing sponsorship to the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in particular regard to the requirements of travel, tourism, logistical services, and transport of goods for many international and community sporting events. With Abu Dhabi set to host many such events over the next three years, the agreement demonstrates a key alignment of common goals between the two parties.
His Excellency further explained that the Abu Dhabi Sports Council aims, through this strategic partnership, to enhance the past successes achieved in hosting international events and expressed his gratitude for Nirvana’s efforts in supporting the Council’s plans and its busy agenda of events.
Commenting on behalf of Nirvana, Al Ali said: “Our cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council forms an important part of the strategy to support institutions, bodies, and government departments with the best practices applicable in the travel, tourism, entertainment, logistics services, and goods transport sectors.
“This agreement reflects the great interest generated by sporting events among various private companies, often as part of their social responsibility programmes. We are confident that this partnership will constitute a continuation of our close relationship with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and offer a new platform towards more permanent co-ordination and co-operation, leading to achieving a number of shared and mutual goals.” Al Ali concluded.
