Argentina’s open training session in Abu Dhabi will now take place on November 14
Argentina’s open training session in Abu Dhabi will now take place on November 14, a day later than initially planned, owing to their national squad’s club commitments.
Having reviewed the European calendars of players expected to participate in the clash with the UAE, coupled with the expected release dates from their clubs, the Argentine Football Association has requested the open training in Abu Dhabi takes place 24 hours later.
Stars from Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, Roma and Manchester United would have been unavailable to feature in the friendly had the original date been kept in place – due to the fact their respective clubs all play on November 13, only three days before the warm-up fixture against the UAE on November 16.
While tickets for that game are sold out, limited tickets remain for the session at Al Nahyan Stadium, which will take place at the same time as originally scheduled (6pm).
UAE residents and tourists visiting the country ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be able to watch seven-time Ballon D’Or winner Lionel Messi, who is set to hang up his international boots after this tournament, and his star-studded team-mates – including Juventus’ Angel Di Maria, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez and Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez.
And what’s more impressive is that they can do so for less than the price of a chicken shawarma dinner, with tickets starting from only Dh25.
Lionel Scaloni’s men are unbeaten in 35 consecutive outings dating back to 2019, and should they avoid defeat in their next three matches will surpass Italy’s record unbeaten run, which was ended by Spain last year.
Tickets for the November 14 training session of Argentina, ranked third in the world by FIFA, are available now at www.ticketmaster.ae.
