Al Awani: Flag Day is an opportunity to renew commitment to the path of development and progress
His Excellency Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, spoke of the importance of Flag Day as a symbol of national cohesion and development.
“It pleases me to extend my warmest congratulations and blessings on this occasion to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and their brothers, Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council, Rulers of the Emirates, Crown Princes, and to the people of the Emirates and residents of this generous nation, asking God Almighty for continued glory, prosperity, and security for our beloved country.”
Al Awani continued: “Flag Day represents a special national occasion, as we celebrate our flag, which symbolizes a history full of achievements, progress and advancement, expresses our unity and belonging to this great nation, and embodies the spirit of determination, dedication and hard work, which contributed to building our country and placing it in the ranks of developed nations around the world.
