1,700+ Healthcare Professionals Gear Up for Burjeel Games 2024 in Abu Dhabi

The mega healthcare sports event will be held at Sports 321, Al Hudayriat Island, Abu Dhabi

The fifth edition of the highly anticipated Burjeel Games 2024 is set to kick off on March 16 at Sports 321 on Al Hudayriat Island. The event, organized by Burjeel Holdings, one of the largest healthcare services providers in the MENA region, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council (ADSC), will run until March 23, igniting the spirit of competition and camaraderie among healthcare employees. This year’s games are dedicated to celebrating the holy month of Ramadan and reinforcing the significance of physical activity for holistic well-being.

Burjeel Games 2024 promises various sporting events, including football, volleyball, basketball, tug-of-war, badminton, athletics, relay, padel, and the special Burjeel fitness competition. This diverse lineup ensures that participants can showcase their talents and engage in friendly competition, fostering a sense of unity and team spirit.

With an expected turnout of over 1,700 healthcare professionals, this event is poised to be the largest of its kind in the UAE, offering a unique platform for employees to engage in sports during the evenings of Ramadan. The games will feature dedicated teams for women and men, ensuring inclusive participation.

To enhance the experience for families and spectators, the ADSC will set up a ‘Games Village’ at the venue. This specially designated area will offer a wide range of entertainment options for children alongside food kiosks and other recreational activities, creating a festive atmosphere for all attendees.

Talal Al Hashemi, Executive Director of the Events Sector at the ADSC, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming event, highlighting its growing reputation in Abu Dhabi’s sporting calendar. He emphasized the tournament’s role in inspiring health sector employees to embrace a healthy physical, mental, and social lifestyle.
