The Abu Dhabi Sports Council won 6 awards at the Middle East Sports Industry Awards 2023 ceremony, which was held at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, in the presence of a number of sports leaders, decision makers, sponsors and partners of sports events in the Middle East region and the UAE.

The Coach programme won the gold award for the Best Academic Sports Programme as did the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon 2023 for the Best Fan Engagement at a Professional Sports Event. The Abu Dhabi 360 programme won the gold award for Best Use of Tech in Sports, while the UAE Tour 2023 won the bronze award for Best Sports Marketing Campaign. The World Triathlon Abu Dhabi 2023 won bronze for Best Sports Event (Budget USD 3 Million & Above) and the UAE Tour Women 2023 was awarded silver for Best Sports Event (Budget Under USD 3 Million).
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council launched The Coach programme in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, the Supreme Council for Motherhood & Childhood, the UAE National Anti-Doping Committee, and the National Ambulance, in addition to several sports federations. The programme aims to establish a new training base in 12 sports, contribute to the qualification and graduation of 400 coaches and trainers, empower training cadres in the emirate, and qualify them to obtain approved licenses and certificates, in accordance with international best practices. The programme also supports physical education teachers in public and private schools, and those from private academies interested in the field of training.
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council and ADNOC organised the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon 2023, in which the face’s fifth edition witnessed the participation of more than 25,000 runners, both male and female, from 168 countries around the world.
The Abu Dhabi 360 app aims to help all members of Abu Dhabi society adopt a healthy lifestyle at all physical, mental and social levels, through a personal journey that reshapes the individual’s concept of physical fitness and mental health, making it the most distinguished program in its use of advanced technology.
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council organized the fifth edition of the UAE Tour 2023 with the participation of 20 professional international teams and the world’s elite riders, being the only global cycling race in the Middle East.
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in cooperation with the International Triathlon Federation, organised the World Triathlon Abu Dhabi 2023, the opening tournament of the international triathlon championship season from 3-4 March, 2023, amid large participation in various types of races appropriate to the physical capabilities of various segments of society.
The UAE Tour Women, in its first edition in 2023, achieved great success, with the participation of 20 international and continental teams as well as an elite group of the most prominent female cyclists from around the world, across 4 stages that included Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra.
The Middle East Sports Industry Awards were established in 2012, serving as an official coronation of leaders, decision-makers, organisations, facilities and campaigns that have contributed to the development of sports in the Middle East, based on several criteria that include teamwork, professionalism, commercialism, vision and basic strategies.
